First-Ever Careers Under Construction to Connect Columbia's Community with Careers in the Trades on April 10-11, 2025, at the Northeast Event Center

Careers Under Construction is an exciting two-day construction career and industry showcase featuring hands-on exhibits, engaging demonstrations, and interactive activities focused on the trades and broader construction industry. The event will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pre-registered high school groups, and Friday, April 11, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the general public at the Northeast Event Center in Columbia, Missouri. Admission is free for all attendees.

This event brings together dozens of local organizations specializing in trades such as wood frame carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, welding, HVAC, tile laying, and more. Through engaging activities, hands-on learning labs, and demonstrations, attendees can experience these trades firsthand. Exhibitors will also be available to provide information on training options, career opportunities, wages, and working conditions.
